Our elected officials, our military
leadership and a mass outpouring of support from our citizens
all combined to focus on the incomplete and inaccurate assessment
that the 130th could not be a part of the 21st Century Air Force.
It's been a long and uphill
battle for all of us, but it's a battle we've won. However,
the war isn't over. So, now that we've Kept 'Em Flying, it's
time for us to change gears here at the office.
The Quadrennial Defense Review
(QDR) and the Future Total Force (FTF) are both due out in February
2006. We need to be proactive on both of these issues – especially
since these reports could either make or break the 130th, same
as BRAC.

on the left and read our summations of these two DoD Reports.
We've just produced
a new radio spot. The ad, paid for by the Keep 'Em Flying Coalition,
features MGen. Allen E. Tackett and Sen. Robert C. Byrd.

Avoid
Complacency About the 130th
It was amazing and so very refreshing
to see the positive outcome of the 130th Air Guard Base Realignment
and Closure Commission's decision. Look what we can do when
we take politics out of the equation.
All the congressional representatives,
state and local government officials, military and civilian
airport management teams, and a group of very determined citizens,
with one positive and right thing to do on their minds: Keep
the 130th with correct facts and a determined clean fight. No
politics involved....
